Creating spaces where the next generation can grow in faith, purpose and leadership
Mbarara, Uganda — September 2026
City Ministries of Good Samaritan Church – Mbarara is placing young people and children among the key areas of its ministry as it works toward building a generation grounded in faith, compassion and positive values.
The ministry believes that investing in young people is an important part of transforming families and communities. Through spiritual guidance, fellowship, mentorship and empowerment, the ministry seeks to create an environment where children and youth can discover their purpose and develop their potential.
Good Samaritan Youth Camp
One of the ministry’s initiatives is the Good Samaritan Youth Camp, which is planned to take place during school holidays.
The camp is intended to provide young people with opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, mentorship and personal development. It will also create a platform where young people can interact, learn from one another and receive encouragement as they navigate different challenges in life.
Supporting Children
The ministry’s vision for children extends beyond spiritual activities.
City Ministries of Good Samaritan has identified support for vulnerable children, including those who have lost their parents, as one of its major areas of focus. The long-term vision includes providing children with access to shelter, food, education and medical support.
The ministry is also working toward the future establishment of a dedicated orphanage facility.
Empowering Young People
The ministry sees youth empowerment as an opportunity to equip young people with the values and skills needed to contribute positively to their communities.
Through future programs and partnerships, the ministry hopes to expand opportunities in areas such as leadership, skills development, mentorship and community participation.
A Growing Vision
The youth and children’s programs form part of the wider vision of City Ministries of Good Samaritan, which includes community outreach, evangelism, women’s empowerment, counseling and humanitarian initiatives.
The ministry’s vision is not simply to hold programs, but to create lasting opportunities that can help transform lives.
Get Involved
Parents, guardians, volunteers, organisations and individuals who would like to support youth and children’s initiatives can partner with City Ministries of Good Samaritan through prayer, volunteering, resources and other forms of support.
